Creating a New Pharmacy

When a medication is transferred to or from another pharmacy, that pharmacy must have a record in Nexxsys that will be attached to the transferred prescription. New pharmacies can be added to Nexxsys in the Other Pharmacy window.

To create a new pharmacy:

1. Open the Other Pharmacy window in one of the following ways:
   • More > List Maint. > Other Pharmacy
     
   • Transfer In window > Add
   • Transfer Out window > Add

   The Other Pharmacy window appears.

2. Enter the new pharmacy’s information in the demographic section. The following are mandatory:
   • Banner or Pharmacy Name.
   • Address Line 1, City and Province.
   • Phone number and fax number.

   

3. Select Save.
